Work types can be assigned at different labels such as project type, project template, project, top task and lowest level task. System uses the work type at the lowest task level for all business purposes.
An Implementation project of inoERP could define the following work types:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
Business Process Mapping
Work types and Expenditure types are different elements of a project and serve different purposes. An expenditure type represents the type of cost incurred in completing a task or a project, whereas a work type represents the type of work performed in completing a task or a project.
You can create, view or update any existing Work Type by navigating to Project -> Project Work Type.
To create a new project work type/or update an existing project work type, enter below information as applicable for the project work type and then save the data.
Project Work Type Id:
A unique system generated number. You can’t modify this number.
Enter a name for the project work type. This is a free field of 25 characters.
Enter any comment /remark in the description field.
Effective From & Effective To:
Enter an effective from and effective to for the work type.
Check if the work type is billable or not. Work type decides if the corresponding expenditure type is billable or not.
Check if the work type is Capitalizable or not. Work type decides if the corresponding expenditure type is Capitalizable or not.
Check if the work type is training or not.
Check if the work type is a shadow resource.
Enter a utilization type.
Enter a utilization percentage for the work type.
