  • Error saving Journal Header
  • 2016-03-31 14:35:53

I was trying out inoERP demo installation on a WAMP server and testing Journal entry.
I am able to update and add lines to exisiting Journal entries. But when I try to create a New Journal Header (I am unable to change the Status field from "Select" to something else) and save I have the following error message.

Record couldnt be saved. Error @ C:\wamp64\www\demo\includes\general_class\trait_dbObject_t.inc @@line668
SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1048 Column 'status' cannot be null
Action Completed

Also on "Reference Details" tab I cannot change Journal Category "GL Miscellaneous" whatever may be the Journal Source.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong...

Thanks and Regards,
The first issue regarding status is fixed and committed to github.
Get all the files from Journal module @inoerp\modules\gl\journal

Regarding journal category, that is an intended feature. You can't modify that.
Whenever you are creating a manual journal, you are creating a misc journal because all the journals should be generated by the system through various transactions. System auto populates the category depending on the type of transaction. For example, Inventory Material Receipt transaction will have a different category from an Accounts Payable Invoice JournalReply
