Forecasting

inoERP

Forecasting is the process of making predictions of the future demand based on past and present data and analysis of trends. Different organizations use different techniques for historical data collection and deriving forecast from that.

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Search Forecast" link to search any existing forecast
Click on "Forecast" link to enter a new forecast

Click on "Search" button to view the search result

Click on "Update" button to view and update any specific forecast

Click on "New Document" button to create a new forecast or right click and select copy header

Select the correct organization name

Select organization name

Enter an unique name for the forecast

Select a forecast group if you want to group different forecasts to a group

Enter a description for the forecast

Click on save button to save the forecast information

To enter a forecast line, enter a part of the item number in item number field or click on the search button next to item field

System defaults all item related information such as description, UOM etc
Select the bucket type

Select the forecast start date

Select the forecast end date

System calculates no of bucket as per the selected bucket type, start date and end date

Enter the original quantity

System calculates the total original quantity

Click on the plus sign to add a new item to the forecast

Enter all the required information for the line

Click on save button to save the forecast

Click on refresh button to review the forecast details

Click on quantity tab

Click on "Chrome Legacy Window" pane in "Forecast - FP - inoERP - Google Chrome"

Click on date specific button to review the forecast details

Review the forecast details

Forecast Group

inoERP

You can use forecast group to combine complimentary forecasts and there by control the consumption of item in different forecasts. System consumes only once in a forecast group. So, if you forecast the same item in different forecast headers and assign them to a single forecast set then system will consume only from only one forecast header at a time.

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Search Forecast Group" link to search any existing forecast group
Click on "Forecast Group" link to enter a new forecast

Select the correct organization name

Enter an unique name for the forecast group

Enter a description for the forecast group

Select the status as active

Select a bucket type

Enable consume if applicable for the forecast group

Enter backward days if consume is enabled and if you want to system to consider sales order before the forecast date for consumption

Enter backward days if consume is enabled and if you want to system to consider sales order after the forecast date for consumption

Click on save button to save the record

Click on refresh button to refresh and view the details

Navigate to an existing forecast to assign the new forecast group
Click on planning and forecast icon

Click search forecast group link

Click on search button to view all the existing forecasts

Click on update button to update any forecast

Select the new forecast group and click on save

Forecast Line Date Details

inoERP

Forecast line date details show the information about forecast as per each calendar dates. Forecasts are usually entered in a weekly or monthly bucket, and forecast line date converts that bucket forecast into a forecast on a specific date.

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Forecast Line Date" link to view the line details of any forecast

Select the organization name

Select the forecast name

Click on "Search" button to view the search result

The first tab shows forecast and item related information.
Click on second tab to view the quantity details

The second tab shows the bucket type, original quantity, current quantity, source type, etc

You can export the line date details information in various formats for off line analysis

Select the format and click on down load button

System will export the data in the requested format

Open the data in excel for off line analysis

Forecast Over Consumption

Default description

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Forecast Over Consumption" link to enter a new forecast

Enter the search parameters and click on search button

The quantity field shows the over consumed quantity : the difference between the forecast quantity and the actual sales order demand

Click on tab 2 view other details

Tab 2 shows the sales order details

You can export the over consumption information in various formats for off-line analysis

Select the format and click on down load button

System will export the data in the requested format

Planner Name

You can use min max planner to create minimum & maximum size for Min-Max planning

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Min Max Planner" link to enter a new min max planner
Click on "Search Min Max Planner" link to search any existing min max planner

Click on search button on the form page to search existing min max planners

Click on "Search" button to view the search result

Click on "Update" button to view and update any specific forecast

Right click on the form to copy the min max planner to a new one

Select the copy header option

You can click on new document on min max planner form to create a new planner

Select the correct organization name

Enter an unique name for the min max planner

Enter planning horizon days as applicable foe the plan

Enter a description for the min max planner

Select a demand source for the min max planner

Select status of the min max planner as active

Click on save button to save the min max planner

Click on refresh button to view the details of the newly entered planner

Calculate Min Max Sizes

Calculate Min Max Numbers as per the min max demand

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Calculate Min Max Numbers" link to run the min max calculator program

Select the correct organization name

Select the min max planner name

Click on submit button to submit the program

Start the main program if it's not scheduled to run

Navigate to Admin -> Program

Click on start main program

Search the program request to check if the status of the min max program

Click on search button to view all the submitted requests

Click on view button to view the details of the program

View the details and review the out put

Min Max Demand

Min Max demand is calculated by min max size program as per the forecast in min size plan

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Min Max Demand" link to view the line details of any min max demand

Select the search parameters such as organization name, planner name, etc.

Click on search button to view all min max demands

The first tab shows forecast and plan related information.
Click on second tab to view the item and quantity details

The second tab shows the item information, quantity, demand type, top level item number, etc

You can export the min max demand information in various formats for off-line analysis

Select the format and click on down load button

System will export the data in the requested format

Open the data in excel for off-line analysis

Min Max Work Bench

inoERP

You can use min max work bench to review system suggestion for min max and multi-bin min max sizes and to update the sizes for several items together.

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Min Max Planner Work Bench" link to view the system suggested numbers for min max and multi-bin min max

Select the search parameters such as organization name, planner name, etc.

Click on "Search" button to view the search result

First tab shows the item number, min max sizes and multi-bin system suggested number.

Click on second tab to view the parameters system uses to calculate the min max sizes

To update the min max sizes, multi-bin min max sizes, and multi-bin number, select the corresponding line and click on save button.

You ca review the new sizes in the item master.

Navigate to Inventory -> Search Item

Enter the item number and click on search button

Click on view/update button review the min max sizes

System allows you to override the system suggested sizes and number of min max bins.

Enter the min max numbers if you want to overwrite system suggested numbers and click on save button

Review the new sizes in item master

Update Min Max

inoERP

Update min max program can be used to update the min max sizes of several items in a single inventory organization

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "Update Min Max Parameters" link to run the min max update program

Select the correct organization name

Select the min max planner name

Click on submit button to submit the program

Search the program request to check if the status of the program
Navigate to Admin -> Program

Click on search button to view all the submitted requests

Click on view button to view the details of the program

Navigate to item master to review the new sizes
Navigation Inventory -> Item -> Search item

Enter item number and click on search button

Click on view/update button to review the min max sizes

Create Min Max Supply

Click on "Create Supply Min Max" link to run the create supply program

Select the correct organization name

Select the min max type

Click on submit button to submit the program

Start the main program if it's not scheduled to run

Search the program request to check if the status of the min max program

Click on search button to view all the submitted requests

Click on view button to view the details of the program

View the details and review the out put

MDS

inoERP

Default description

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "MDS link to enter a new MDS
Click on "Search MDS" link to search any existing MDS

Click on "Search" button to view the search result

Click on "Update" button to view and update any specific MDS

Right click on the form to copy the MDS to a new one

Click on copy header to copy the header details

You can also click on new document button to create a new MDS

Select an organization name

Enter an MDS name

Enter a description for the MDS

Select a demand source

Enable include sales order check box if you want the MDS to consider sales order demand with forecast demand

Click on the save button to save the header details

Click on actions tab on the header and select the action as "Load MDS" to load demand into the MDS.

You can also load MDS by navigating to load MDS program from the dashboard

Select the organization name and the MDS name

Click on submit button to submit the program

System will show you the new program id number.

Manually run the "Start Main Program" , if not scheduled to run in a regular interval.

Navigate back to the MDS form to review the demand details

Click on "MDS - Master Demand Schedule - inoERP - Mozilla Firefox" window in "MDS - Master Demand Schedule - inoERP - Mozilla Firefox"

Review the demand details in the line and change if reqi

Load MDS

Click on "Load MDS" link to view the Load MDS program details

Select the organization name

Select the MDS name

Click on submit button to submit the program

Click on start main program if the main program is not scheduled to run in the background.

Search the program request to check if the status of the min max program

Click on search button to view all the submitted requests

MRP Planner

You can create multiple MRP plans for simulation and actual production usage

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "MRP" link to enter a new MRP planner
Click on "Search MRP" link to search any existing MRP planner

Click on "Search" button to view the search result

Click on "Update" button to view and update any specific forecast

Right click on the form to copy the min max planner to a new one

Select the copy header option

You can click on new document on min max planner form to create a new planner

Select the correct organization name

Enter an unique name for the MRP planner

Enter a description for the planner
Enter number of days in planning horizontal days field

Select a demand source

Select status as active

Click on save button to save the MRP Plan

The first tab shows the demand details such as mrp name, item id, quantity, demand date etc.

The second tab shows the demand source details such as source type, source ids, item number, cost, etc

Planning Work Bench

Default description

Click on "Forecast & Planning" button in "User Dashboard - inoERP"

Click on "MRP Work Bench" link to review MRP suggestions and release planned orders.

Select the MRP Planner name

Click on search button to review MRP suggestions

The first tab shows the MRP suggested planed orders for both work order and requisition

The action field shows what action is available for that specific line

Click on tab no 1 to view other details

Tab 1 shows the top level demand that has caused MRP to suggest the corresponding planned order

Select all the lines you want to release and click on save button

Refresh the work bench to view the updated details

System changes the action of all the released line to None

The order type of all the released line changes to Converted_xyz

Navigate to requisition interface or work order search form to find the new orders

Click on view requisition interface to view all the released planned order requisitions.

Source List

inoERP

You can use a source list in MRP/MDS/Min Max Planner to specify the source of demands. You can assign only one source list to one document (a MRP Plan, MDS Plan or Min Max Plan) but you can specify multiple sources in a single source list.

Click on "Source List" link to enter a new source list
Click on "Search Source List" link to search any existing source list

Click on "Search" button to view the search result

Click on "update" button to view/update the search result

Right click and select copy header to copy the source list to a new source list

Click on new document to enter a new source list

Select an organization name

Select the source list type as applicable

Enter a source list name

Enter a description for the source list

Select the source list type in the line level

Select a source list name

Planning Control

Planning control setup is defined for each inventory organization, and it is used for defaulting and controlling planning information for that specific organization.

Click on "Planning Control" link to enter/view/edit planning control

Select an organization name

Click on the refresh button. If planning control is setup for the organization then system will show you the details

Select consumption group.
System consumes only one forecast from a forecast group

Enter auto consumption forward days

Enter auto consumption backward days

Enable/Disable Net WIP as per business requirements

Enable/Disable Net Purchase Order as per business requirements

Click on save button to save the record

Update Existing Card : The program will only update existing cards and will not create any new card
Create & Update : The program will update existing cards and will create new cards as required

Click on "Submit" button to submit the program

Release Kanban Card

Enter/Scan kanban card numbers n the kanban cards region.

Click on save button to generate supplies for all the kanbans

System will show you the number of entered cards and number of invalid cards

Click on refresh button to review the details

Click on invalid cards tab to view all the inavlid card numbers
